Scout Sunday

Come worship with Kirkwood this Sunday as we celebrate scouting! In order to thank Kirkwood for its sponsorship, Scout Troop 187 will be graciously honoring our church family by serving a pancake breakfast on Sunday, February 7, 2010, at 9:00 a.m. Please makes plans to join us for a delicious breakfast and to meet the Scouts who call Kirkwood home.


To worship God, minister to our community, and be disciples of Christ.

Our Purpose
To provide quality programs to teach and spread the Word of the Lord for the spiritual, physical, and emotional development of our community.
Our Services
Sunday worship service begins at 10:30 a.m. Sunday School is at 9:30 a.m. For information on additional programs and times, please visit our directions page.
Opportunities to Serve & be Involved


Men's Breakfast

The men of the church will meet on Saturday, February 13, 2010, at 8:30 a.m. for breakfast and fellowship. Please plan to join them in the lower fellowship hall.

Winter Workshops

Cherokee Presbytery will hold the Winter Leadership Event on Saturday, February 27, 2010, at First Presbyterian Church in Cartersville. For more information, please contact Sue Jarman.

Presbyterian Disaster Relief

The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) is responding to the earthquake in Haiti through Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, and you can be a part of God's answer to prayer for those affected by this disaster. If you would like to contribute, please do so online at www.pcusa.org (account number DR000064) or make a donation through the church (checks should be made payable to Kirkwood; please note on your check that the donation is intended for disaster relief in Haiti).

Bible Study

Don't miss Bible Study on Thursday evenings from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Rev. Parr is leading a study of the book of Mark. All are welcome to attend and we look forward to having you join us on a weekly or occasional basis.

Directory Update

We are in the process of updating our church directory. Please fill out the information form included in the bulletin and return it in the offering plate in order to help update our records.

Food Pantry Needs

The food pantry is in need of canned fruit, rice, fruit juice, paper products, and toothpaste.

Volunteer to Staff the Church Office

Volunteers are needed to staff the church office on Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to answer phones and to do other assorted administrative tasks. If you are willing to help, contact Margaret Johnson.

Kirkwood would like to invite members of our community to visit our food pantry. It is open each Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. through 1:00 p.m.
