OUR BELIEFS

WHAT PRESBYTERIANS BELIEVE

  • That God is in charge of the world and that our destiny is safe in God's hands, but we also believe that all persons are free and responsible and ought to be obedient to God.
  • That we are saved by God's grace, not by our good works.
  • That Jesus is the son of God and that he was crucified for the sins of all of us.
  • That Jesus' resurrection is the triumph of God over all the forces of darkness and evil.
  • That God's spirit is at work in the world today, convincing people of sin, inspiring us to believe we are a forgiven people and moving us to do justice in the world.

That faith is not merely a matter of an individual's personal relationship to God, but also of our corporate lives as people. Our worship is both joyful praise and prayerful confession, but it is always based on two central elements: the Bible, read and preached; and the Sacraments.

We invite you to join us. There is much to do, both at home and around the world: worship, witness, education, community service, music, and much more, including your own daily work of living a life of obedience to God, under the freedom of God's grace.
