OUR PASTOR

MEET DR. VANCE S. NESBIT

Dr. Vance S. (Van) Nesbit has been the minister of Kirkwood Presbyterian Church since the congregation's organizational meeting in 1984. Before entering the ministry, Van worked in education and banking. He graduated from Emory University in Atlanta and received his Doctor of Ministry degree from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur.

Van and his wife Peggy, who teaches Elementary School, have two children. The Nesbit family lives in Powder Springs.

A MESSAGE FROM DR. NESBIT:

Dear Friends,

I want to welcome you into the fellowship of our church family to share with us the labor and rewards, the trials and triumphs of Christian discipleship.

The Kirkwood family seeks to be a loving people who gather to worship and work in harmony and to so live in God's love that God may richly bless us and make us an abundant blessing to others.

If you have no church home in our community, we invite you to join us through reaffirmation of faith, the transfer of your membership from another congregation, or the Sacrament of Baptism.
